Creating a Character
Entering Basilisk Demonica will require you to develop and create your own custom character, set with their own history, appearance, weapons, past, and powers, all according to your design. Hence you have done so, you will be able to make full use of Basilisk Demonica by joining an RP, creating an RP, talking and fighting with other ninja, etc. This process is both a thick and enjoyable one, which is very simple to manage here at BD. I will give you a simple guide that you can use if you are inexperienced in character creation.
Let’s start with the basics. First, you want to put down simple info about your ninja.
-Name
-Age
-Height
-Weight
-Eye Color
-Hair Color/Style
-Gender
-Build (Light, medium, heavy)
-Village
This begins to paint a picture in the reader’s mind. Now let’s move on to “filling out” your protagonist.
-History (Referring to character’s birthplace, key points in their life, who they’ve befriended, and so on)
-Appearance (To give better detail about character appearance, such as tattoos, scars, pierces, clothes, armor, etc)
-Weapons (Simple sentence or two to detail character weaponry)
-Jutsus, Techniques, Abilities (In whatever order you prefer. Give each and every ability your character may have. You cannot use an ability that is not listed here)
And that’s about it. However, here at BD, I do not scorn the use of unnatural characters, such as the creation of a four headed monster, a man with an octopus for an arm, a fellow who runs with six legs. Originality is in you, so long as you generate it realistically and believably.
Ultimately, you do not have to take these by heart. This is merely a guide suited for the new person in general.
A reminder, do not create those who are unstoppable. There are no god characters, as you should know, and you will be expected to behave fairly in an RP, even if your protagonist is as strong as a Kage.
Now, get out there and have some fun!
5/4/2008:
-Starting May 4th, Characters must now be approved, either Canon or Custom. However, acceptance is not difficult. So long as your attacks and shinobi are reasonable, you will be fine. There are no limits as to what type of character you can make.
